Blazingheart sat in her bedroom and lit a dark blue, and a light blue candle. she watched the flame slowly burn down the wick as the was melted and collected in a small puddle around the rim. when it had collected enough she pured a small amount form both onto the wax paper she had placed in front of her and began to sculpt it. She sighed and looked out the window as she waited for more wax to collect. "I hate it when it rains. It's so depressing..." She began to sing a melancholy tune. the notes changed randomly, and it couldn't be called a song, but it fit Blazinghearts mood.

Blazing heart watched the changing weather outside her window. Her spirits lifted a bit as the rain faded, but then sank again as the snow began. She didn't like snow at all. Snow meant cold, and she hated to be cold. Snow also had the tendency to make large clouds and gloomy skies. She sighed and walked into another room. When she returned she had a blanket draped around her shoulders and two more candles in her hands. ONe was red, she lit ti and placed it aside to warm the room. The next was white, she lit this one as well and, after a minute or so, poured a large amount of it's wax over her sculpture. The wax solidified and the sculpture now was white with blue undertones. "because the shadows of snow are blue. Not black, nor gray, but calming blue.." she repeated a line from a story she had read long ago. She had always loved that line. This was going to be one of her better sculptures.

Shaking the flecks of snow out of his dishwater brown hair, Racingsun stepped into the home. Judging by the flickering glow emitted from his sisters’ room, she was sculpting again. He brushed the snowflakes off his jacket and stepped out of his shoes, feeling somewhat foolish for not coming home sooner. However he had been tied up with guard duty and had to work a double shift, because his replacement was a no-show. Giving his head one last good shake, he silently scuffled through the house, debating on whether or not he should let Blazingheart know if he was home. After grabbing a small caramel candy, and unwrapping the sticky cube, he popped it in his mouth, letting it dissolve away just a little bit, before he began to chew pondering his rather petty problem. He swallowed and wrapped lightly on the door “Can I come in?” though he was feeling rather sluggish, he kept a light tone and a small smile on.

Blazingheart jumped and knocked over the red candle. She was so enthralled in her sculpture, she hadn't heard her brother come in. the candle flame went out and the red wax dripped onto the sculpture. Blazingheart quickly recovered the candle, but it was too late. The sculpture had been of a bird, a goldfinch to be precise. It was stretching on it's talons with it's wings out stretched as if it was either landing or taking off. But the red wax dripped onto the wings of the beautiful bird. It ran down it's feathers like blood, in startling contrast with it's white pallor. Blazingheart stared at the sculpture in silence. It was too late to fix now. "You may come in." she stated to her brother, still in the doorway.

Looking at the ruined sculpture he sighed “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean…”he sighed unhappily, it was too late to salvage the poor bird, “Is there something I can do to make it up to you?” He put his hands in his pockets, feeling rather foolish for the demolition of the lovely sculpture. He hadn’t observed too closely the tedious work his sister preformed for fun. While he understood she did it like their mother before them, he couldn’t especially understand why she could sculpt for hours. In his opinion it was about as dull as watching paint dry, but at the same time, he respected his younger sibling.

""No, it's ok" Blazingheart said to her brother, sounding not at all depressed. A small smile came to her lips. "Actually, i think i like it better this way. It's sad, but somehow still beautiful, much more moving than before. I must thank you" Blazingheart rose and placed the sculpture on the mantel, for now it was complete.
"So how has your day been?" the neko asked courteously, "I cant imagine it's been any fun with all this rain. And it's going to be cold tonight too."

He frowned, she sounded okay, but she may have been hiding it. Racingsun nodded and decided that it would be best not to say to do anything rash. “It was alright, borders are clear and no trouble seems to be about. Pretty average.” He shrugged, “It is no longer raining… it’s actually snowing.” A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips, he didn’t mind the snow, it was quite pretty when the sun shined on it, and the frozen crystals glittered. But he knew the cold bothered Blazingheart, and he downplayed his delight of the snow. “But, enough about the weather, how was you day?”

Blazingheart made an annoyed face directed at the window. "snow isn't much better than rain, it's cold." She sighed and shook her head. "My day was boring. Sorry, but i just wish the sun would come out." It was extremely boring. She didn't want to go outside in the rain, and there wasn't much to do inside. Plus, she couldn't sleep again, although she wouldn't admit this to her brother. He'd just worry about her more, and she didn't like it when he worried.

“Hey! Why are you apologizing squirt? You have nothing to be sorry for!” Racingsun chided the girl, yet mirth was held in his warm brown gaze. His mind flickered about many topics, mostly how tired he was, and how exhausted Blazingheart looked. With a nod he murmured “Well, I’ll get out of your hair, there has got to be something more exciting for you to do without me hanging around.”

"Honestly i think it'd be more boring without you here. Theres nothing to do when the weather gets bad. I was apologizing for talking about the weather, it makes everything wet, cold, and boring and i felt like ranting a bit." She sighed and looked out the window. "I wish it would stop." she missed the sun and wanted to go outside.

A tiny smile graced his features “Well, it shall eventually, but for now we must brace the cold. Good thing winter is never that long!” He managed to chuckle a bit. “But never the less, we should go find something to do; how about swinging by the library, reading is a good way to get your mind off troubles. You can’t stay moping around the house forever!”

"Alright, sounds like a plan" Blazingheart agreed, although she shuddered internally at walking through the snow to get there. She had never been too fond of reading. She would much rather do things than read about them being done. But there wasn't much else to do, and she wouldn't mind just spending time with her brother. "Just let me get my backpack, and a coat." she then scampered into the other room to find her things.

Blazingheart was getting tired of waiting for her brother and decided to leave without him. "Meet you at the library!" she called and headed out the door. it was snowing profusely outside, and it was really cold. she half-ran the rest of the way to the library, hugging her arms tight to her body the whole way.
