A long-fingered hand peeked through the make-shift blanket, otherwise known as an unzipped hoodie, and ran its long fingers through a mop of black hair. The head shook a couple of times and the owner finally opened his shocking golden eyes, blinking groggily he stretched out, finding little comfort in the dim cave. Another sigh. Alphonse stood up and pulled on the black sweatshirt. His eyes scanned the dank cave wondering why it was still so dark; scuffling to the mouth he watched the freezing rain hit the cold ground. Rain. Made sense. Storms always made it seem darker outside. Standing there debating on whether he should travel out or not he decided, that it could get worse, and he better start moving. His few possessions were gathered into a knapsack, and he trudged out, growing colder and wetter by second.

Mat walked by the dark cave. He was headed out to the plains for some last minute camping. His bow was stung on his back, his knife in his pocket, and his sword at his side. He also carried a backpack with a tent and sleepingbag in it.
Mat looked up he sthought he saw someone out in the rain. He was ready to get away to avoid a fight, but didn't move from where he stood.

Alphoneses’ ears perked as he heard footsteps, knowing that this was territory typically occupied by clans he turned his hand on the hilt of his sword, just in case. What he saw was a little less than he was expecting, only one person. Probably another loner, looking just as alert as he did, probably… he couldn’t exactly see his own face.

Mat stood, this was no clan cat, which was a good thing, Mat was upwind, but that didn't really mater because of the rain. Frozen in his place, mat began to reachfor his bow, but stopped.
I could be the one picking a fight here if I reach for a weapon he thought. Mat lowered his had, and placed it onto his sword. Mat knew that there would be no camping tonight. There was another neko near his home, and Mat's violin was still there.

Alphonese sighed; this was obviously going no where. He was just on his way out towards a new camp ground, and now he had wasted at least seven minutes staring at this blue-haired guy, he had no idea who the hell he was, or why he was so defensive-looking! A sigh escaped, at least the tenth today. It was going to be a long day. He let go of the hilt of his sword but shrugged a dagger into his hand from the bindings in his sleeve. One could never be too careful.

Mat finally felt himself be free of the ice like feeling that froze him in place. He sighed. He need to go out camping soon other wise he might go insane. i need to get out of here, this is getting akward
Mat began to move, he went off into the tree's, but before he did he called out "nice meeting out, goodbye." Mat had, had his manners drilled into him when he was little, he shuddered a bit at the memory, then ran off.

Valentine walked lightly through the heavy rain, one hand wound around the strings of his bag, the other playing with his platinum blonde hair, even though it was raining and dreary, his well-natured mood did not falter, he walked gracefully, and hummed a soft tune under his breath, although, his head hurt, as it sometimes does.
As Valentine neared what seemed to be caves, hidden mostly by the downpour, he saw a solitary figure sillhouetted against the bleak rain.
Lifting a hand partially gloved (fingerless glove XD) into the air, he called out to the figure, "Oi! You yonder!"

“Nice staring at you too…” Alphonese muttered darkly his mood decreasing slightly. Shoving his hands in his pockets he glared at the ground a bit before looking up and over at the new face. He sighed, today was full of people. And not even girls! He let out another disgruntled sigh and muttered “What?” Deciding that the other loner probably couldn’t hear him, he called out again louder this time, “what?” He shook his hair out of his eyes and frowned, as the wind blew it right back to where it was before. This was going to be a long day.

Valentine stepped forward slightly towards the other neko, and wiped some water off of his face, "I was just.. well... just saying 'hi,' I haven't seen anyone in what I assume to be a while..." he called back, shifting uncomfortably in his place.
Valentine hadn't seen anyone in a while, and even though this neko sounded irritable, Valentine was in desperate need of company, and he was kind of sure that this one wouldn't be too hostile.

He ran a hand through his raven black hair and frowned “ah. Well, okay then.” He jammed his hand into his pockets and shrugged to himself, he had traveled alone for so long, company would be nice. If they got friendly enough, they may travel together. That was enough to make a small smile appear on his typically frowning face. He walked forward and extended a hand “I’m Alphonese.”

Seeing the other extend his hand, and give a small smile, Valentine reached out with his own gloved hand, and beamed at Alphonese. “My name is Valentine! It’s grand meeting you! “He replied, as he shook the other’s hand. Releasing it, he stopped grinning widely, but kept a half smile super glued to his face, “You are the first fellow neko I’ve met that hasn’t been uncouth or discourteous to me… so you can understand my happiness?” he asked, recalling several encounters earlier that week. “Most people can be rather foul and detrimental!” he said, appalled at the way lone and rouge nekos treated lost and confused nekos.

A small sigh, this guy… deciding to humor the feminine-looking character he spoke with a hint of mirth underlying his words “ah well, we can’t all be jerks Valentine!” He re-jammed his hand into his pocket and frowned, just a bit, “you’re… lost then?” though it was troublesome to ask, he was actually somewhat curious about this Valentine, clearly he wasn’t very well versed in the habits of loners, they weren’t soft clan nekos, they took on the world by themselves, growing cold and detached. “I could take you back as far as the territory for your clan. As a loner it’s not customary to enter a clan encampment unless invading…” He deflated just a bit, this guy was clearly a clan neko… and soon Al would be alone again.

Valentine frowned, and as a force of habit, ran his hand through his hair. He then focused his gaze downward towards the ground, “Well you see…. I’m relatively sure that I’m lost, what are the names of the clans? I can’t remember if I’m from one or not…” he said, in an almost spacey sort of way. Silver eyes once again looked towards Alphonese, “So… You are a loner then? I would presume that means you voyage alone, I must be a bother then...” he said, voice fading out.

He nodded stroking his practically non-existent facial hair (he had shaved a few days prior) deep in though. “Well, while yes I am a loner, I used to travel in a group, we disbanded fairly recently, and I wouldn’t mind some company that is if you wanted to join me…” he paused for a short breath and to recollect his thoughts. Alphonese wasn’t exactly why he was sharing all of that, but Valentine seemed harmless enough. “Ultimately it’s your decision.” He shook his inky hair out of his eyes and watched the effeminate neko through his golden eyes.

A true smile lit Valentines face, as well as crystal snow, fluttering down onto his eyelashes and nose. “I would love to! And maybe being with someone will help me recover my memories!” he exclaimed, for memories to him were like a rare food, hard to find and always different. Blinking snow out of his long feminine eyelashes, he looked towards the heavens, “I hope we get at least a foot of this stuff, I love snow!” he said, holding a finger out, so that a flake would settle there.
